Whoo hoo! We checked out of our not-so-fab ANA Grand 5-star hotel, played around at Wet 'n' Wild for awhile, then scooted into Brisbane. It's fun to stay at the Y! And we washed the car. Late in the evening, we went to Brisbears at the Sportsman Hotel, and chatted with some friendly locals.
I must say that the Y was a great deal: $77 for a very comfy room in central Brisbane with parking. Downstairs is the gym, and the fastest Internet connection I've seen. The cafe on the street was a good deal, too, with good tasty light meals that weren't expensive. We'll be staying there when we return to Brisbane later in the year.
